Parovel is a documentary about the changes in four Roma communities in Romania and Portugal.
Four communities in Europe with four very different contexts and a myriad of individual stories. “Parovel” follows the changes – little or big - achieved at local level through community participation among Roma.

Director Biography - Milutin Jovanovic, Diogo Pessoa de Andrade, Mihai Bodea

MILUTIN JOVANOVIĆ (born in 1970) is a film director who graduated from the TV Directing Department at BK University, Academy of Arts, Belgrade. In addition to his commercial work, Jovanović directed several documentaries dealing with the Roma community in Europe. Jovanović is the founder of NeVO, a NGO that strives to improve the social inclusion and acceptance of the Roma communities by using media campaigns to propose a shift in their public image. He is also executive director of the Belgrade-based video production company Golden Touch and works for the Serbian National Public Media Service RTS. Jovanović lives and works in Belgrade and Budapest.

Diogo Pessoa de Andrade (born in 1975) is an independent portuguese filmmaker, multimedia consultant and instructor. He works in the audiovisual industry since 2002.

He has experience in fiction, documentaries, news, commercials, corporate videos, music videos and live events.

Diogo has been involved with NGO's since 1998, in projects related with art, inter-cultural dialogue, social integration and human rights. In 2000 he founded "@rte Digital", an international team of independent new media and audiovisual artists who work in partnership with non-governmental organizations.
