Director Statement

United States and China hold the most important bilateral
relationship in the 21st entury, according to Dr. Kissenger
and a host of eminent U.S. - China scholars.

President Xi Jinping and President Biden have the golden opportunity to herald the age of sustainable peace and prosperity.

The magnitude and import of our project, is exemplified by the close participation of former presidential advisers on both the
U.S. and China side.

China Reflections has been a herculean task, often taking a circuitous route. Our work reflects the unrelenting effort of five generations of Chinese and Americans committed to the joint promise of a lasting peace.

Ms. Collins was pleased to be one of 500 US-China influencers -
from the world of business, academia, media and government invited to the China in Hollywood conference 2016- held in Beverly Hills Ca. The event was hosted by The preeminent American organization, ,Committee of 100.

Early on, Dr. Ku introduced Constance to a producer from Beijing, he envisioned a future U. S. -China film collaboration.Dr. Ku thought that an entity in Beijing would be able to assist with research on our film , possibly elucidating many historic events not necessarily chronicled in the U.S.He then authorizied Morningstar to feature his literary works, compositions, photos with world leaders and more.. That magnanimous gesture taught Constance more about people to people diplomaccy than all of the summit meetings one might attend.

Over time, Constance grew to understand the complexity of east west engagement, prompting her to become ever more determined to deepen her understanding , and in turn, that of others.

In 2017, Constance joined the 500 influencers for the Committee of 100 Gala and Summit held in Washington D. C. Many Thought leaders along with the most prominent Chinese Americans on the world stage were in attendance. It was an honor to participate in this extraordinary event.

Our mission is to harness and implement the transformative power of people to people diplomacy , as exemplified by our unprecedented, high level Sino - American dialogue. We believe that film is a profound form of Intercultural diplomacy, with the power to transcend our differences through ongoing, meaningful, collaborative dialogue

As we mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the historic Shanghai Communique, may we once again embrace the spirit of detente between our two great nations .

Peace with China is paramount, the alternative is unthinkable.
