Director Statement

The (Almost) Famous is a humorous look at what ridiculous obstacles actors face, the things that can potentially keep them from their big break. With the rise of social media many producers will give priority to actors with many followers on Twitter, for example. As an actor I found you can either get upset about the parameters of this wonderful business or you can find a creative outlet and show the predicament many performers face on a daily basis. The (Almost) Famous also reminds us that for every Brad Pitt there are 1000s of actors you've never heard of. They still exist out there and they're working actors. Their journey isn't less important than Brad Pitt's - it's merely different.
