James H. Lee is a writer and director who helped produce TV productions for NBCUniversal. Such as their hit show, Fashion Police with the late Joan Rivers on E! Entertainment. He is also a graduate of the School Cinema and Television at the University of Southern California. He has a passion for creating action films that have strong comedy elements.
He wrote and directed the short film called “The Most Interesting Man in Show Business,” which is a hyper stylized, surreal piece of action cinema that questions your perceptions of who a Hollywood action hero should be. He believes an Asian American action hero archetype can actually exist on the big screen and created the short as proof of concept for a much bigger feature film.
I describe the short as a projection of a person’s power to dream. “The Most Interesting Man in Show Business" is meant to entertain, to bring laughter, and to also make you dream of bigger possibilities.
