American Cowgirl is the story of the women who shaped the history and legends of the American West and the women who continue those traditions today.
It's about women who defied convention and accomplished their dreams against all odds.
The American Cowgirl endeavor will preserve, honor and recognize the legacy of these pioneers so that women and girls today will experience renewed faith and hope in themselves to accomplish their dreams and goals.

Based in Tucson, Arizona, photographer/director Jamie Williams has been in business for over 20 years. Commercial clients include American Airlines, American Express, Arizona Office of Tourism, AT&T, Bank of America, Texas Tourism and Westin Hotels.
Jamie was awarded an artist grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts for her documentary project American Cowgirl. She is a Rockefeller Fellowship Nominee and has endorsements from PBS Dallas, PBS San Francisco, The Women's Museum, The Cowgirl Hall of Fame and The Autry Museum.
She has been featured by Cowboys & Indians Magazine, The Horse Channel and The Encore Western Channel and was a guest speaker for the Friends of Western Art and Circle of Changes radio show on 104.1 Talk Radio.
She had a solo show at ArtsEye Gallery and participated in the Cowgirls with Cameras show at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum.
