Director Statement

If anything, this little film is an example of not knowing what you are doing, but having an idea of how to get there. Following this idea and the magic of discovery marked ‘Me, Baby and the Alligator’ from day one. The soundtrack is for the most part take three of a live recording session and what was originally intended more as a graphic novel became animation as this peculiar technique revealed its possibilities. Magic Realism, like expressionism is a voyage of the soul. Perhaps this voyage is the means and the message. The couple are wanderers that seek freedom, not vengeance in a world beset with deadly traps. They embody the creative anarchy that can only exist with conviction.
