Director Biography - Scott Dunn

Scott grew up in the small town of Mahomet, Illinois and is of Korean/Scottish descent. Throughout his childhood, making hour-long movies as a hobby was a constant. This hobby quickly turned into his passion and after graduating from high school, Scott moved to Chicago where he studied at Second City and participated in many student films.

Scott later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. His first big break was a 3-episode arc of Disney XD’s “Kickin’ It”. Since then, he shifted his focus to filmmaking as an extension of what he used to do with his friends growing up.

Director Statement

Schlep is my ode to the mumblecore movement. It was shot with the same kind of guerrilla filmmaking spirit that my heroes, The Duplass brothers, have always employed. We lacked time and money but not passion. The cast and crew really put a lot of good energy and time into this project and I really feel like that warmth and love shines through. I feel so blessed to have completed this first feature and I pray for many more.

Please enjoy!
