Young hopefuls / MLADA NADA
Documentary film Young Hopefuls talks about one of the oldest club/venue in Slovenia, Nada Žagar Youth Club (MKNŽ) from Ilirska Bistrica that is celebrating it's 50 years anniversary. Through the years, MKNŽ has grown from a local club to be a main spot for world music scene. The film tries to understand specific local environment as well as the importance of similar self-organized and alternative places in Slovenia.
With its tireless activity, MKNŽ it is still resisting time and changes in the society and is keeping a healthy and creative environment for the young generations further one.

Dokumentarni film MLADA NADA prikazuje petdeset let razvoja Mladinskega kluba Nade Žagar, enega izmed najstarejših mladinskih klubov v Sloveniji, ki je v svojem pol stoletnem delovanju prerasel iz lokalnega kluba v prizorišče svetovnega glasbenega dogajanja. Tudi film v tej maniri prehaja iz specifično lokalnega razumevanja prostora do širšega pogleda in analize pomembnosti tovrstnih samoniklih in alternativnih prizorišč v Sloveniji. Mladinski klub Nade Žagar (MKNŽ) s svojim neumornim delovanjem kljubuje času in spremembam v družbi ter skrbi za ohranjanje kreativnega in zdravega okolja za mlade, tako v Ilirski Bistrici kot tudi drugje.

Manca Filak and Žiga Gorišek are visual anthropologists and documentary filmmakers from Ljubljana, Slovenia. They finished postgraduate study of Ethnology and cultural anthropology at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). Their films were screened at various (ethnographic and documentary) film festivals around Europe.
