7 Minutes in Heaven
7 Minutes in Heaven" is an Art House style film, a series of moving imagery & sounds that sparks curiosity and a fondness for the heartwarming love of a group of friends as they navigate the ups and downs of their daily lives over the course of one week. The premise of the film is centered around the idea that everyone should be able to find at least seven minutes in a week to laugh, play, and enjoy the company of their loved ones.
The movie starts with a group of old friends reuniting after years of being apart. As they catch up and reminisce about old times, they realize how much they miss the carefree days of their youth. They decide to make a pact to find at least seven minutes each day to do something that brings them joy, no matter how busy their lives get. This Experimental film showcases snippets of these moments of pure joy, pleasure, dance, play and rest.
Over the course of the week, the friends go on adventures, try new things, and rediscover the joys of being in each other's company.
The film captures the essence of friendship and the importance of taking time out of our busy lives to enjoy the simple things that bring us happiness. It reminds us that no matter how busy life gets, we should never forget to make time for the people and things that matter most.

Sundance, a native of Rawal Pindi, Pakistan, grew up in Toronto with rock n roll pulsing through her veins. She's a torchbearer, breaking generational curses and honouring her ancestors by refusing to be tethered or chained. Her passion for rock n roll represents freedom, a liberty her foremothers never tasted. Yet, as she rocks out, her heart mourns for the societal and cultural chains that have bound them. Her freedom is a powerful act of reclamation, a way of celebrating her heritage while breaking free from its confines. Recently, Sundance took the stage at Montreal's Centaur Theatre in Rabiah Hussain's SPUN, touring the show in Quebec and Ontario. But long before that, she won Best Directionat the 2019 InspiraTO Festival for her solo show, Three Lotus Flowers. Sundance's artistic vision is bold, fearless and unapologetic - a powerful force that drives her to explore the world on her own terms.
As the director of "7 Minutes in Heaven," I sought to create a film that celebrates the power of friendship and the importance of taking time out of our busy lives to enjoy the simple pleasures that bring us happiness. Drawing inspiration from my own experiences and the experiences of those around me, I wanted to showcase the idea that everyone can find at least seven minutes in a week to laugh, play, and enjoy the company of their loved ones.
The film follows a group of old friends as they reunite after years of being apart and make a pact to find moments of pure joy in their daily lives. Through a series of moving imagery and sounds, we witness their adventures, their laughter, and their rediscovery of the joys of being in each other's company.
As a director, I wanted to create an Art House style film that sparks curiosity and a fondness for the heartwarming love of a group of friends. The film captures the essence of friendship and the importance of nurturing those relationships, no matter how busy life gets. By showcasing snippets of moments of pure joy, pleasure, dance, play and rest, I hope to inspire audiences to take a step back from their busy lives and find time to connect with the people and things that matter most.
Ultimately, "7 Minutes in Heaven" is a celebration of life, love, and the enduring power of friendship. We are all just surviving the best way we know how. Not every week of your life will be a good one, but we can find moments throughout the day that allow us to see our bigger purpose in life, to exist and be at joy- find your peace. Let this piece flow through you and out, find the laughter, go towards the laughter...always.
