Tebogo Timothy Chologi, aka “Mrembola”, is an auspicious artist born in 1988 and was raised in a village named Magogwe Tlhabologo in Mahikeng. His love of art blossomed after joining a dance production called “Pnx Production” that specializes in various dance genres in 2006. His love for art drove him to join the “Expressions”, one of the biggest shows that groomed small artists of the North West Province with his poetry in 2007. As he felt that dance still has a room in his heart he took part in the SABC ONE dance show “Jika Majika”in 2008. 2010 became his year of exploring the acting field when he was doing a production titled “2010 Countdown” for the Indian Heritage Day in Mmabatho Convention Centre, created by Tshepiso Konopi. In 2012 he took a journey through his poetry and collaborated with Kelebogile “Soul Sketcher“ Kwaile‘s writing to create a spoken word theatre play titled “ROPED” that took Mahikeng by storm in 2012. 2013 turned to be the year of miracles when he got to be one of the poets who took part in a Native Land Act Exhibition that took place at the Mmabatho Convention Centre. His acting abilities took him to play an extra character as a gangster in one of Kagiso Mogale’s Mzansi Magic short films titled “Never Say Goodbye” in 2013. He completed a National Certificate in Film and Television Production wherein he has written, directed and produced two films Inmate and Mobocracy of which Mobocracy has won an achievement award for best student film in 2015. He was also casted for a lead role in the Top Crew Media for Mzanzi Magic short film Tlhala Ntsa! in 2015, which was also filmed in collaboration with the North West Provincial Government and Mmabana Cultural Centre for the opening and launch of a Film Studio at the Mmabana Culture Centre. At the end of 2015 I directed and produced a local film written by myself, Ghetto Situations.
With art we can paint the world we want to live in.
