The pilot episode from creator Eric Ruiz and writer Brandon F. Johnson’s mini-series script. 45 Willow Drive takes inspiration from True Detective, The Night Of and Big Little Lies. In today’s age of technology, the goal of the film to visually show someone is always watching.
Carlos E. Macher and Eric Ruiz envisioned an alternative way to see messages, phone calls and computers shown on screen. A different take on the thriller/mystery genre. With the main protagonist Detective Addilyn Rhodes(Michal Roxie Johnson) not revealed until the final act, the pilot episode sets up the unmasking of what really happened the night of.
