Laurence Blyth is an experienced British Director of Photography with a Twenty three year history in the film and television industry. His work ranges from intimate documentaries, through pop promos and commercials to multi-camera broadcast drama and film.
Over the years he has gained a reputa/on in the industry for his versatility as well as his energetic and innovative approach. He has filmed all over the world.
Laurence produces beautiful results on all formats from 16mm and 35mm film, as well as a huge variety of cameras including Red1, Red Epic, Arri Alexa, and the more recent full frame cameras and Digital SLR cameras. Laurence has a extensive knowledge of digital cinematography.
Laurence’s quality of work has been recognised by his clients by shoo/ng the following awarded projects. The feature film ‘Bollydouble’, received two awards, ‘Toronto ReelWorld film fes/val audience award’ and ‘WorldFest Houston, gold Remi award’. There was a BAFTA win for RDF’s documentary, ‘Holiday Showdown, Val d'Isère Vs Gambia’ project, one BAFTA nomination for Disney’s UK drama
‘Buslife’ , an IVCA gold award for ‘The Economist’ project and a Certificate of merit for 'The Dreams of William Golding' at the Chicago Interna/onal Television competition, both for Lone star Productions.
Laurence is a fine addition to any production.
