HEAD
Performed by the Elmwood Puppets and presented as a part of the fictional 'Graveyard Gil's Midnight Thrills' late-night, B-movie public access show, the feature focuses on a group of twenty somethings on a weekend camping trip in remote New England who begin to uncover that the site of their getaway was host to a series of brutal mass murders, as their once fun vacation turns into a fight to survive.
And make sure to stay through the end credits...

Jon is the man responsible for all this Elmwood Productions madness. A self taught puppeteer and puppet maker. Jon gathered some friends, some equipment, wrote some scripts, made the puppets and the rest is history. On the rare occasion he’s not working on a project he can be found hanging out with his cat Ripper, and his girlfriend Brie…
Wait… He just got engaged!! Wait again... He just got married!!!
Jon founded Elmwood Productions in 2001 (dates change depending on who you ask, blame aliens) and within a year he lost his mind.
Born and raised in Elmwood USA Jon's obsessions with puppets and film started at a young age. Now at an old age he's still making the puppets and making the movies!
No formal education at all. I didn't go to school for this. Puppetry or film making. I've always been hands on, and always the type to want to figure it out and do the research. But never much of a "student" in tradition sense. I'm a self taught puppet maker, and puppeteer. And film is very much along the same lines for me. I loved the two things all my life. SO I started doing them! Sounds easy when I put it like that. But like Jim Henson said; "If it was easy everyone would be doing it!"
We're really going for a throwback to the late 1970's to early '80's look. My Bloody Valentine, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and so on. But with just a little more gloss. Honestly we're not breaking any new ground in the storytelling aspect of it. When I wrote the original draft I intentionally wanted to hit all the clichés of the genre. But I still wanted scares and shock. Using puppets in the film I think will also give it that uneasy feeling that a lot of horror films just don't have. We're so used to puppets being family entertainment, that now, with blood and violence, it may be jarring for people. I like that aspect.
