Director Biography - Susibel Espaillat

Filmmaker, Telematics Technologist.
Producer and founding partner of the house production company, Soleil Luna Star Films, SRL. She graduated from the Film Institute of Santiago (INCINES) where she specializes in: Screenwriting, Photography, Direction and Film Production, jointly graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) as Telematics Engineering Technologist, later on graduate of the specialty in Film Production and Directing, TV. And Video at the European University of the Atlantic (Spain), also complement her knowledge with various film workshops in the areas of Audiovisual Production and Management.

Communications Officer of the Sparring Partners Project, for the Italian NGO Gruppo di Voluntariato Civile (GVC). Winner of the National Contest Fonprocine in the category Short Film Country Brand 2016. Director of: "Inseparables" (Special Mention in the First Dominican Dominican Global Film Festival, winner of Green Woman film, best short film), "Coco con Leche" Honor Short Film Competition "Women and Work" Intermón Oxfam) and "Chino - Dominicano" (Official Selection of the Festivals: Women in Short, RDOC, FIC Dragonfly Gold, Muestra Almaden de la Imagen, Camaguey, Cuba). Producer of: "Opera Prima" and "Un Pacto con la Soledad". She has worked in several national and international films: "La Soga" (USA / RD), "Dinosaurier" (Germany), "Sálvame" (RD), "Ponchao" RD), "Vacanze ai Caribi" (Italy / DR) and "Patricia" (RD); As well as in various audiovisual productions such as music videos and commercials. Currently is the field producer of the Canadian documentary "Hispaniola" that is being made in Dominican Republic.
