Director Biography - Andrew Bruce-Lockhart

Andrew is stills photographer, scriptwriter, director and producer from the UK.

His first film – a SevenSeas production shot in Kent over two days in April 2014 was ‘Lucky Charm’. He has written and directed a further short called The Question (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4367862/combined) which is a 3 minute drama about a young woman who answers an exam question - What is Courage? https://vimeo.com/117419503

He has also written a full length comedy drama called PhatNav which is currently in pre-production.

He is currently working on co-writing a family comedy, with a US based director, and developing a 7 part TV drama series - around a devil, an angel and the apocalypse which is mixed live action and animation.

He is rather obsessed with cake, his film company is called #sendcake films, and he always tries to over feed cast and crew with it when on set.

Director Statement

Lucky Charm was my first time at writing, producing and directing a film. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. I tried to surround myself with people who were truly unconsciously competent, as I was a complete novice and had only a vision in mind. They shone.

I am incredibly proud of Lucky Charm and all those that worked with us on it. Thank you all.

At the time I wrote a blog about my experience. This can be found here.
