Director Biography - Karen Vanderborght

Karen Vanderborght studied at LUCA School of Arts and never lost that typical Belgian imaginative touch.
After 10 years of curating and creating in the Brussels underground media art scene, she moved to Canada, collaborating on various documentary productions.
She has a bold approach to storytelling, embracing new technology to take stories to places where they have never been gone before.
So does her independent work, screened extensively in the international film festival circuit, as well as in museums and galleries.
Her last feature Edimmu won the bronze experimental/dogma prize at Worldfest Houston in 2010, and a special mention at Mockfest LA.
Following a self-imposed artistic sabbatical she is now again ready to let her ideas run free.
