The Return Of The Salmon
The theme of The Return Of The Salmon is the final stage of the salmon’s lifelong odyssey. The salmon’s single-mindedness and determination is the driving force for the story. This short nature documentary zooms in on salmon as they deal with challenges during their migration to their natal rivers in the vast Alaskan wilderness. What unfolds gives an insight to the key role of salmon in their environment and reflects the cyclical nature of life.

Award-winning photographer and filmmaker Tim Plowden focuses on wildlife conservation issues in Southeast Asia. Tim works with conservation NGOs and media outlets to raise awareness on conservation issues, such as illegal trade, for a range of endangered species.
I endeavour to create thought-provoking stories that reveal underlying wildlife conservation issues in an aesthetic way. I believe I can most effectively contribute to wildlife conservation by creating content that will evoke an emotional response from the viewer.
