In the ruins of an abandoned building, two young men pass the time with a brutal version of tic-tac-toe, carving their moves into walls and debris with knives. When the game runs out of space, the hunger to keep playing drives them into the night in search of a new canvas. A chance encounter with an intoxicated friend offers a strange solution—but the night has rules of its own.
