Born and raised in Chicago, Ricardo Albarran leads a life of intriguing duality. By day, he navigates the complexities of the healthcare field as a skilled management consultant. Ricardo received a Master of Public Health from Yale University and worked at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA during the COVID-19 pandemic. By night, he embraces his love for horror cinema that has been with him since childhood. In 2023, Ricardo embarked on a creative journey by enrolling in Chicago Filmmakers' Introduction to Filmmaking course where he wrote and directed his first short horror film, 3:00AM, on-site as a student project. In the future, Ricardo envisions blending his love for horror storytelling with the vibrant threads of his Mexican and LGBTQ identity.
