2 BHK
2bhk explores the human tendency to run away from silences. A tendency which has only grown with our exposure to technology and content. The film questions the substance of modern human relationships through the story of 2 flatmates living in the city of Gurugram as they are forced into each other's company without any distractions on a weekend after they encounter a powercut.
In today's times where content and media dominate our lives, the film explores how this seeps into our day-to-day relationships draining out actual substance and leaving them without any ability to form organic connections.

Although this is my first project which involves a camera. I have been a theatre practitioner for the past 4 years. I started my journey with the Indian Collegiate theatre circuit as an actor. Towards the end of my graduation I got more interested in directing stories than being a medium to communicate them as an actor. I co-directed a play which was an adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky's "Notes from the Underground", the play toured all over the country with some of the major educational institutions and B-schools. Within the DU circuit we could bag quite a few accolades including "Best Play" and "Best Direction". I was also acting in the play and could bag 2 awards for the "Best Actor".
After graduating, I'm in a full-time corporate job in Gurgaon. While still continuing theatre with my job my inclination shifted towards telling stories through a camera. This is my first film and a lot of inspiration for this story comes from the city I live in "Gurgaon" and the culture that I at times have to involuntarily be a part of. I have shifted 14 times in my life and I have realised that the stories I end up telling have reflections of those places. I like to tell stories of those worlds I have interacted with, the way they are. Although I have transitioned from stage to camera, the stories I tell are still the same.
