Kevin Bibo was inspired to write for the screen by his lifelong friend, the late film director Declan O’Brien. His stories are inspired by his 30 years of experience as a public educator. Kevin began his professional career in education as a middle school theater teacher in Covina, California, back on the campus where he first experienced success as a drama student. Returning to teach this program was a dream come true. Kevin then made the move to high school when an opportunity to teach English and create a media program opened in Redlands. Students from this program went on to attend Chapman University, the University of Southern California, and the California Institute of the Arts. A standout graduate from this program, Bomani Story, released his first feature film in 2023, The Angry Black Girl and her Monster, to rave reviews. In 2015, Kevin was hired as an Assistant Principal of Career and Technical Education in Palm Desert. Kevin helped the CTE teachers grow their programs and, working collaboratively with teacher Joe Martin, launched another award winning media program. Kevin is now a Director of College and Career Readiness where he supports all district CTE programs. Although Kevin’s accomplishments are many, his greatest joy is spending time with his wife and children.
