An eyewitness tour through the Gospel of Matthew, to a concept thoroughly rooted in faith yet paving the way far beyond anything yet imagined – the concept of marriage. As shows such as Family Guy, after The Simpsons, have established, animation clearly communicates the simple truths of complex dynamic social systems and practices and is uniquely suited to relating these truths. Indeed, since the sinking of the Lusitania, this is animation's destiny ! As shrewd as any two bit advertising executive, HESUS JOY CHRIST puts images to work establishing the divine role of marriage as put forth, as far as I can tell, in Pope John Paul II's 'Theology of the Body'. This is another application of "Whole and Part Thinking" - striving to balance Whole and Part!

Matthew's Five's Nine, is based on the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, which includes the Beatitudes. Two previews may be viewed at www.sites.google.com/site/vid932008 . This project was completed and delivered by April 13th, 2020. This episode does not have any references to the personal life of the filmmaker, so this episode takes a turn away from the previous five episodes in that it is not a Personal Testimony of the Animator's life and experience of both the Gospel of Matthew AND Theology of the Body, in his life.
Instead, this episode begins to show how Theology of the Body is the fulfillment of the Gospel of Matthew, by presenting the corollaries of the truths spoken, rather than the hopes assumed, in this chapter of the Gospel of Matthew.

HESUS JOY CHRIST / Matthew's Five's Nine :
This episode marks a turning point in this HESUS JOY CHRIST series as this episode relates to the fifth chapter of the Gospel of Matthew and begins the story of the Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes.
This original presentation challenges both the pious and the secular if they are to consider themselves ethical in light of this interpretation of this chapter of the Gospel of Matthew, of the Bible.

The scope of this production is so large that a 2 second scene required 169 drawings and 40 hours of work ! About eight scenes of about a total of 25 scenes, were more or less completed by the end of 2011. By February 2018 there were still about 500 hours of animation work required to complete this episode.

2023-01-24 :
As this animation work ripens, I have clarified the Union of Whole and Part, in Whole and Part Thinking, as fundamental to any Marriage, including all legal marriages. So I pursue the establishment of Whole and Part Thinking, in my writing and animation, and find such Whole and Part Thinking to Resolve all Marriage, any Balance of Whole and Part, up to and including Resolving the problem of Evil in God's Creation, He having deemed all of Existence as Good.
