Roopal Badheka is the author of award winning screenplays, several short stories, the novella The Beach Getaway, as well as a motivational blog. Her screenplays have been FINALISTS in the Utah Film Festival, the NY and Canadian Cinematography Awards and more. Her fiction has also been featured in such publications as Six Sentences, A Long Story Short, Static Movement and others.
DRENCHED is a fictional story, based on the true events of Hurricane Harvey, and the extreme conditions that many Texans went through.
I’ve leveraged that background to argue the impacts of climate change within the construct of our politically divisive world. By marrying the new-found age of feminism and activism into the story, I've presented a unique perspective as told by a female protagonist around her own heroine’s journey.
With this background, I invite you to consider it.
