The choices

Although she hated accounting, Sherry followed her parents wish and became a CPA. Although she lacked people skills, she took on Real Estate to supplement her income.

Then she became an emptynester with many unfulfilled dreams. Dreams of making films. In Oct. 2015, she started her youtube channel - The Mysterydecoder. And it now has over 18,000 subscribers with 4.7 million views.

She then started making Narrative documentaries using PowerPoint. Eventually, she learned Window moviemaker and finished her first film- Girl Indigo 16 going 61 as the writer, director, cinematographer, editor and producer. That 12 minutes film won "Film of the Year 2017" at Hell Chess Film Festival in Spain.

Then her first music video - Unknown Alien songs won Best music Video at Sweet As Film Festival. A few months later, her Residential Aliens won Best Sci-Fi and her Queen Mary of Scots - The True Story won best Biography, both at Fall 2017 Alternative Film Festival. In Nov 2017, her film I am Henry the 8th won Best Film at Swet As Film Festival in Canada while her film "The Messenger" won "Best International Film" at Gala del Cinema Internazionale - Venezia 2017.

Every film can be a challenge for a new filmmaker like Sherry. Sometimes she had to wear different hats. Amazingly, she was able to multitask and has been nominated as Best Writer, Best Director, Best Sound, Best Special Effects, Best Horror, Best Human, Best Story and Best Original Concept. Now she won "Best Editing" at Independent Horror Movie Awards and "Best Direction" at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Film Festival 2017. and Best Writer at Barcelona Planet Film Festival.

Although she wish to try all kinds of films, the majority of her films are documentaries. Her film on Brest Cancer - A battle we can't afford to lose, won 2 awards, while her mystic documentary "The life of Queen Mary of Scots according to Nostradamus" also won 2 awards. And recently, her documentary about Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria - Help Wanted won "Semi-Global Impact" award from Move Me Productions in Belgium. Actually, in 15 months, her 180 films got over 500 film festival official selections with 27 wins.

Not all films she was proud of win awards, like her comedy "Under my spell". But it is now ranked 24 when you search on IMDB for most popular Amazon Romantic comedy available on Amazon Prime.

And her first action film Grant me Hope showed how a director who can't run 100 meters under 1 minute can make a fun action film.

Well, dreams are for dreamer. But Sherry is not a dreamer. She is a filmmaker.
