SIFTING

The speed of frenetic contemporary life makes us lose sight of the connections with nature, places and traditions. Stopping ourselves to understand, and reflect, on how important these connections are is not simple, but it is necessary.

Through the art of dance, which is art that represents movement, we create this return to the origins, where the beauty of the places also reveals aspects that lie in ourselves.

This imaginary jumble within own subconscious, allows subjects a return to everyday life with a totally different approach.

The rediscovered connection with nature, places and traditions, allows the slowdown of obsessive rhythms and greater awareness of the original human relationships.

Director Biography - Francesco Belligerante

Master Degree in Architecture and Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture;
Visiting Scholar in the Department of Landscape Architecture at University of Pennsylvania in USA; Published different articles and a book titled "The Extended Representation of the Landscape" and made several lectures in China.

Artistic Director of FB production (China/Italy), art events organization

Vice President of “Mediterraneo Arte”, an italian association that takes care of organizing artistic events for about 30 years. Calabria Arte organize a very important international dance event, "Mediterraneo Dance Festival", that is now in its 29th year.

Co-founder and Videomaker of “feelMINI”, a group that works in photo and video production.

Co-writer, co-director and main actor in the short movie "Il Casellante", produced by feelMINI; this short movie was made with the supervisor of the italian director “Fabio Mollo” (South is nothing - Il padre d'Italia) and now it's on post-production phase.

Studied acting and dancing with internationally renowned artists taking part in many performances as actor, dancer, choreographer and artistic director.

Dancer in a group that have represented Calabria region in a live competition on Italian National television ( RAI 2 ) , performing for 13 episodes.
