Rogers began her career as a stage and screen actress and after the completion of her first film, 'The Chicken Man,' is excited to add 'filmmaker' to her resume. She is in post-production for two more short-films, 'The Living Room' and 'Cockroach,' and has written her first feature film which is scheduled to shoot Fall, 2018.
'The Chicken Man' is a fairytale; dark, surreal and fantastic. The set was built in a dirt-floor garage in scrubby downtown Toronto, using local artists to help execute the enchanted design and while exercising the stage expression "beg, borrow and steal" throughout its creation. Writer/Director, Joslyn Rogers wrote the role of 'Lenny' for Leonard Ziolkowski after meeting at a Clown workshop on Manitoulin Island, Canada.
