Director Biography - Kiril Karakash, Svetislav Podleshanov

With a passion for storytelling that ignited at the age of 12, our journey in the world of film has been an exhilarating odyssey. As graduates in film direction from Esra - Skopje University, we further honed our craft by pursuing masters in production. In 2016, we united our cinematic vision and founded Opium Film, a production company rooted in Macedonia. Our cinematic repertoire spans a diverse spectrum, showcasing our expertise in both creative documentary film and compelling storytelling. With a commitment to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers, we proudly serve as mentors for aspiring talents at various schools and universities. Through our engaging workshops, we impart invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience, shaping the minds of young children and students who share our passion for the art of filmmaking. Our journey is a testament to our dedication to the art form, with Opium Film standing as a beacon of creativity and innovation in the Macedonian film industry.
