Director Biography - Luciano Mello

Luciano Mello is a self-taught filmmaker, his love for cinema started at age of 8 and was the main inspiration for him to work as a commercial photographer in the editorial and advertisement industry. After almost 30 years working in this area he starts to focus more on filmmaking and now he is working mainly on writing, producing and directing independent films. His knowledge as a photographer helps him to be able to print a unique style from a very subtle and insightful view of human character.

Director Statement

One day on the bus I saw this woman talking on her cell phone, she was nervous and very disoriented, probably she got some bad news. This moment was the start point of our short film Commitment and is about a woman who finds in a phone call that her whole life is about to change.
