Danielle R. Erlich spent her life growing up with an autoimmune disease. This disease kept her from playing with her friends and partaking in fun activities. She ended up either reading or watching films most of the time to escape. She wrote all the time growing up and even had a poem published in the sixth grade. Soon after, signs of her illness began to surface. One of them was surprisingly writer’s block. After two years of college, and one screenwriting course, she switched to an acting conservatory in Santa Monica. She spent two years studying character breakdown and script analysis from an actor’s POV and graduated with a vocational degree in theatre. Sadly, a short time after, her disease became crippling, and she was no longer able to act. She decided to move back to Arizona while the doctor’s tried to figure out what was ailing her. This past year, she was finally diagnosed with this rare disease, and the moment that treatment began, her writer’s block broke. She is currently working on her third screenplay. Her very first “LEGACY” has won 21 awards so far, which includes one of the top fifty festivals in the world. The awards range from 1st to Top Finalist. “LEGACY” also nabbed a total of 32 nominations and four other official selections. “LUANA” which is its prequel has been won 7 awards ranging from 1st Place to Top Finalist, has been nominated a total of 14 times and was chosen as an official selection eight other times so far. Danielle R. Erlich specializes in Sci-fi, Fantasy, and Action Adventure screenplays.
