Sehnsuchtsdämmerung (El ocaso del anhelo)

The title of this piece, translatable as "the twilight of longing", refers to the Sensuchtsmotiv from Wagner’s opera Tristan. The piece is about the decay and release from longing, using the actual twilight as a metaphor of the inner recess. I created the music first (indirectly inspired by the Sensuchtsmotiv) using evolutionary sounds that contrast with sounds with attacks; and then I «composed» the image with continuous evolutions and clearcut changes.
Shot in the forest of Espadán, one of the largest preserved cork-oak forests, this piece is a tribute to Nature.
