Everything that cinema tries to represent is, in the end, the majority of it is the contribution of the story, and in its most central state, the contribution of the narrative as a format for understanding the story.
This issue can tell the important aspects of the narrator's role in choosing the type of narration that leads the story. Although it may be that despite the fact that the narrative leads to the understanding of the story, the classic dramatic tug-of-war has no place in between. The short film "Destination" tries to present the storyteller's role with this approach of narration. A story that, although it does not have a neat and dramatic goal to give the audience a mindset about the story of the film, tries to represent it to the extent that our human understanding of this world allows. Representation in the framework of collective perception of the world, without the film trying to get into a fuss in a particular way and presenting a personal manifesto on the deepest human affairs beyond our understanding.
When the author's understanding of the idea he wanted for the "Destination" screenplay was complete, choosing a narrative that would cover the concept he wanted became an interesting challenge. A narrative that was consciously understood to not be dramatic, but definitely non-linear. In fact, by choosing this type of narration, the film is supposed to take advantage of the existing dialogue between the narrative interruptions of the sequences to challenge the mind of the audience and reduce its dramatic effects according to the intended concepts of the film.
Directing the film "Destination" was very challenging due to the many locations and the limitations that exist in the production of independent short films. At the same time, the choice of angles and maintaining the unity of the shots due to the subjective atmosphere of the film presented a pleasant challenge to the group.
Perhaps, considering my other experiences in filmmaking, the short film "Destination" can be considered a kind of fluidity of the director and her freedom of action in presenting those themes that the work needs to be understood better.
In other works such as "Hearing" and " Hidden" produced and directed by me, unlike the narrative flow of the film "Destination", Plot tells a dramatic story in his heart. In those films, the narrator is in the third person and does not change during the film, as in the film "Destination".
