LAST THURSDAY is about a family; Brad (Benjamin Mainville), Meredith (Terri Schmidt) and Becka (Megan Boisvert) who spend their last day with their Nana (Carol Halliburton) before sending her to a nursing home. Her early stages of Alzheimer’s make the process difficult for each of them. As they express the feelings of guilt and pain, they decide to make their time with Nana a special one before it’s her time to leave. Another personal film that I wrote from experiences I had with my grandmother who is in her early stages of Alzheimer’s. I felt this story needed to be told because every day many individuals have to face the hard fact of their loved ones losing their memory and having to cope with the situation. I hadn’t seen a film portray the situation through a family’s point of view. Filmed in Deltona, FL, I had the great opportunity to feature close friends and local Central Florida Actors in putting this film together.
