LOYALTY is a documentary film about a filmmaker's journey as she cares for her mother, back home in Jacksonville Florida. While she deals with her mother's failing health and stays by her side, she finds strength and peace through the lives of 8 year old football players who are on their journey to the championship.

ris Goodwin has been a filmmaker for well over 20 years. She started out as a freelance photographer in the early 80's taking pictures of hip-hop and R&B artists as well as politicians including Queen Latifah, LL Cool J, Fresh Prince (AKA Will Smith), Stevie Wonder, and Jessie Jackson. Her love for photography took her to film school at the New School University where she obtained a certificate in film production. At the New School, she wrote and directed her first two films. She also edited and cut her own negatives to her first non-sync sound film. Both films were shot in 16mm color negative film.
Her second film, entitled Blue Devils, aired on the cable television show "First Exposure with Todd Chanko.” On this show, Jeffery Lyons, a New York film critic, critiqued Iris's film. She was also awarded funding for this television broadcast. For more than a decade, she wrote and directed a dozen short film and music videos.
Iris graduated from Bronx Community College with an associate’s degree in television production and New York City College with a bachelor's degree in sociology. At BCC, she wrote and directed three super eight films and edited them on the Avid Editing System. All three films showcased in Cable Vision Film Festivals, where she received two awards in Film Editing and three Awards in Film Directing. She was very creative and produced a full-length music video in super 8 sync sound that featured the well- known film actor Mekhi Phifer.
Along with My Legetcy Inc, she produced her first documentary film is entitled Baba Chief Bey which is the story of Legendary Drummer and Performer James Hawthorne. She also produced an interactive DVD with the Apollo award winning R&B sensation group Definite. In addition, Iris directed the award winning film entitled "Silent Cries of a Child,” in which Chyna Layne won Best Actress in a short film at the New York Independent Film and Video Awards. Another short film that Iris directed, shot and edited was "Choices," which was produced by the NYC Administration for Children Services and New Yorkers for Children. Iris produced three videos for the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, which documented the Summer Youth Employment Program for their students.
Iris continues to write and direct films as well as music videos. She is currently working on a documentary DVD with legendary bass player Fred Thomas, who was the long time the bass player for James Brown. Iris produced a music video and a bio video for MTV's P. Diddy Star Maker sensation Omotayo “Big Sexy” Riley. Her film entitled THE STUDIO which is a 40 min. narrative film about a love relationship between a Photographer and a drummer and the Love of Yoruba Orisa Dance set in Brooklyn New York.
