War of the Limelight
WAR OF THE LIMELIGHT is a teenage love story across cultures between Violette, an undocumented Syrian refugee in hiding and Brock, a second generation Mexican-American with a chip on his shoulder. When Brock and his friends enter the student film festival competition against the rival school, an ongoing cyber-bulling war brings possible legal consequences with devastating effects on an innocent new student. Immature characters abandon their racism and choose integrity and forgiveness when they band together to free their friend and help their audience gain conscious awareness of the refugee crisis.

Eric Hinwood began his film career when he was 7 years old with a home video camera using cassette tapes, and since then has gone on to co-found an independent film production company, ATAEC Studios, that has garnered immediate success for the young filmmaker. This company was started in early 2009, and they soon began to make short films and videos for local non-profit organizations. He began working with a film company called HARA Motion Picture Conservatory, through which he became a lead actor and editor in several short films and features. During this time he attended acting and film courses and honed his skills as an actor, director, and producer. Hinwood graduated from the HARA Motion Picture Conservatory, York School, and then Whittier College. At this point Eric Hinwood has directed 3 feature films, 10 shorts, and acted in over 30 different film/tv/projects. Currently signed with Johnson Talent Agency, Hinwood continues to act and direct in LA County to this day.
Eric Hinwood, a former HARA student, describes his experience: “Before HARA I knew that I loved acting and film, but I had no idea how to get started on a career in the film industry. Using what I learned in the 2 years that I took classes at the Conservatory, I was able to move to Los Angeles and immediately begin working in the industry.” With his impressive portfolio of work created through HARA, Eric was accepted to Whitter College and was in the graduating class of 2016. Eric began his directing/producing career while attending school and his first feature film secured international distribution last year. He also just completed acting in his sixth feature film.
