Director Biography - Yoon Young Lee

I am trying to lead my career as a videographer as well as being a competent freelancer. I still find it hard to have a balance between works and working out. I believe feminism can be a jackpot in industry. It's what is needed in this world. I’m planning to challenge other various visual art forms such as visual effects, animation, or web cartoon to match what I do for a living and what makes me happy. I want to be a digital nomad too.

Director Statement

For all the people who couldn’t put up with themselves being the weak. Especially women. This documentary is about a journey to comprehend self-hatred, being a girl. This story refers feminism but deeper subject would be ‘reclaiming the identity of the weak themselves’. I wanted to encourage people who felt vulnerable at the very obstacle, so-called an innate gap between the strong and the weak. “A weaker person can beat the stronger one.” That’s the spirit of jiujitsu and it gives people HOPE to train and encourage themselves to subvert the rules of current world. The protagonist shows empowerment to beat difficult conditions despite the weakness of her own. She realizes it's the key to restore her identity, keeping an attitude ‘Fight Like A Girl’.
