Private Project

Creeper

Creeping; verb; a nightly practice of invading people's houses while they're home and lurking in the shadow of their lives without being caught.

After a night out, a young woman is unknowingly followed into her home by her "ride-share" driver - resulting in a dangerous game of cat and mouse that explores the lengths people will go to connect in the modern world.

Creeper is a voyeuristic character study of an anti hero existing in the modern world that will make an audience’s skin crawl. This short really allows us to tap into the dangers of peer to peer transactional platforms through the stalker/thriller genre and a truly demented (yet fascinating) antagonist with whom we will force the audience to creep around with in the dead of the night. Creeper is really about isolation and loneliness and we explore that through our two characters under the guise of a stalker / thriller genre film. Both of these characters are yearning for connection and seek to fulfil their desires in vastly different ways. That’s why the film is so effective at eliciting a response from the audience because that need is universal, a need to be connected to another human being, even if it is without them knowing it...
