THE QUEENS

The Queens is the latest film I have made for New York's The Carry Nation's latest single release. Starring New York's club kid du jour Sussi and London's Joey.

Wanting to make a film that didn't preach or wag fingers at a younger gay generation, in this piece l want to offer a celebratory tour de force of those queens that came before us (see Jean Genet, Robert Mapplethorpe, Pet Shop Boys, Boy George, Truman Capote, Joan Rivers, Tennesse Williams and John Rechy amongst others referenced throughout the piece) and in doing so perhaps suggest that they should continue to inspire and inform our future.
