Shawn Melton is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He joined MoviePitcher in 2016 and started submitting his movie ideas.
He has made his career in Biotech creating solutions for unmet medical needs to extend and improve quality of lives while drawing upon his passions of science and creative ideas for complex problems. He has co-authored several scientific papers and is expanding into fiction. As a child he was fortunate to be in television commercials produced by the local station which stimulated his interest in the process of making movies including an acting class in college.
In his free time he enjoys outdoor activities with his family, watching movies, reading fiction as well as nonfiction, playing guitar and sculpting with wood.
Shawn lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
