Lovers symmetrically approaches four stories where the five main characters, interpreting different roles, are all connected in a spiral driven by the reasons of love.
Within this concentric and endless circle of lives ‘Lovers’ takes shape and creates a movie where love, comedy, doubt, suspicion and murder are constantly represented throughout the story.

Director Biography - MATTEO VICINO

Matteo vicino is an italian movie director. Born in Bologna on December 1972, has created theatrical shows and feature films on behalf of the Italian Police. His project always reflects cultural or social purposes. his first movie, Young Europe, took part of the ICARUS project, dealing the matter of road accident. the movie was funded by the Department DGmove the European Community, commissioned from the Italian Police along with Università La Sapienza and Fondazione Ania. Young Europe is an award-winning film (Winner best directing Milan international film festival 2013, nominated for best editing and best female protagonist) is currently available on Sky Cinema on demand, and free on youtube for everyone. Matteo vicino also wrote and directed his first movie for cinemas, the mainstream comedy “Outing – fidanzati per sbaglio” (2013) with Giulia Michelini, Massimo Ghini, Nicolas vaporidis and Andrea Bosca, available on Netflix (Italian), and Lovers (2017) author comedy with Primo Reggiani, Ivano Marescotti, Margherita Mannino, Luca Nucera, Antonietta Bello.

We wanted to do something different from mainstream cinema without losing the feeling with audience. Lovers is a symmetric movie where culture against ignorance is the real matter. It was really difficult to write an original plot, never seen in a movie before. We really hope you will like it.
