Country City Horse

Only four kilometers from Neapoli, Thessaloniki, with a population density of 23,188/km2 (60,060/sq mi) which is one of the densest places in the world, lives this horse. An urban jungle and a natural paradise just a few moments away from each other. There are children in Neapoli who have never seen a horse up close. Their world view is limited to a five meter square balcony overlooking blocks of cement flats. This proud horse breathes fresh air, eats natural grass but for how much longer? A six-lane expressway has been proposed to be built on the exact same spot where this horse photo was taken.
