Previous Address
Who are we as a society if we ignore any one part of our whole? We are all connected. In Previous Address, we explore the issue of homelessness particularly in Atlanta GA. Knowing that these individuals did not just "pop up" on the street; we highlighted a few of their stories and backgrounds. We discover what life was like before they were homeless and what caused them to be in that situation.

Kel McQueen is an Atlanta filmmaker, that hails from a small town in West Virginia. Being that her family was the only African-American family in the entire town, Kel found storytelling to be what best way to take her away from her confusing surroundings, where she was she only child that looked like her. After moving to Atlanta Georgia when she was seventeen, she eventually found her love for directing and editing while attending Fullsail University. She made her first film titled “My Father John Doe,” touching on how the fatherless generation affects women. After the buzz of her first film, Kel Mcqueen realized that her goal in life was to be a conversation starter and has made it her mission to be the filmmaker for the silent person.
