But during the filming of the documentary something unexpected happens, she becomes pregnant and facing the harsh reality that she found in hospitals and medical solves recorded herself and become the star of her own movie, because she has made a decision; bring her baby into the world in a different way.

Director Biography - Nathalia Lafuente

Nathalia Lafuente nace en Asunción, Paraguay en 1977.
Estudia cine en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Tv de San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba, graduándose en la especialidad de Producción en el año 1999.
Ha realizado la producción de cortometrajes de ficción y la producción y edición de largometrajes documentales y series para tv. Ha ganado el Premio Municipal Román Chalbaud a la Mejor edición y el Premio al Mejor Documental Nacional en el II Festival Latinoamericano y Caribeño de Margarita con el largometraje “Vinotinto, la película” estrenado en salas de cine venezolanas en 2009. 9 Lunas es su ópera prima como Directora.
