Shreela Agarwal is an award winning filmmaker whose work sits at the intersection of memory, and personal myth-making. A former national boxer, she returned to cinema driven by the feeling that some stories stay untold until someone who has lived them chooses to do so. With a style that bridges fiction, documentary, and avant-garde, Agarwal is an emerging voice pushing the boundaries of contemporary cinema with authenticity and depth.
11:11 is a queer Indian love story set in the nightscape of Mumbai: a city always in motion, where intimacy survives in fragments, pauses, missed timings, and passing lights.
Centred around two women meeting through a dating app, the film explores desire, performance, and the fragile architecture of connection in contemporary urban life. Queer lesbian narratives from India remain rarely seen on screen, and this film emerged from a desire to create space for those emotional realities with tenderness and ambiguity.
Inspired in spirit by the emotional physicality and suspended time of Pina Bausch, 11:11 moves through the city like a nocturne: observing bodies, silences, gestures, and the distance between people trying to reach one another.
