Dragon
The tale of the call of the wild soul is explored in this story of a mountain climber’s venture to ascend a challenging summit.
After numerous unsuccessful attempts to scale a snowy peak, a frustrated mountaineer is plagued by nightmares. Recognising his discomfort as the call to continue his pursuit of the summit, he determines to make one more attempt.
Knowing this climb, like all journeys of the soul, must be done alone, he sets out solo to find his way through the snow. The climb is a challenging one, calling into question the motivations for his pursuit. An unexpected fall fuels his determination to press on. Upon reaching the summit he is faced with a twisted tree root in form of a dragon.
This dragon “burns” away his ego, leaving behind nothing more than ash, revealing the free wild nature of his own soul.
