This is the story of a small Indiana town, three murders, and the trial that followed; it is a story that ends in the incarceration, conviction, and eventual release of a young woman named Charity Payne who would become the focal point of a small town's frustration with the criminal justice system. What caused this young woman to become involved in such horrible circumstances? What impact did her eventual release have on the victims' families? What does this story say about the state of the criminal justice system in America today?

Director Biography - Paul G. Lyzun

Paul G. Lyzun grew up in South Bend, Indiana, where graduated from Indiana University (South Bend) with a concentration in Electronic Media. He also holds a Master's in Fine Arts in Digital Cinema from DePaul University.
Paul has nearly 20 years editing experience and nearly a decade of working behind the camera as a cinematographer for various projects.
His passion is documentary filmmaking, and is currently in preproduction for his latest project.
He enjoys watching films and hockey and resides outside of Chicago.
