Among the miners is David Cain, who has grown tired of earth and longs for a new life. One day after the company decides to relocate to the red planet, David is given the option to transfer, or remain on earth with his family. As tension rises between him and sister as they care for their dying father, David must weigh his commitment to family and his desire for a better life.

Redshift is a very personal story for me. While it deals with the prospect of colonizing mars, at its core it's a story about families in the midst of hardship. It deals with the fear of saying good bye, and remaining present when life gets difficult. It is my hope that Redshift inspires people to love and cherish their families, and to stand together with them when the storms of life hit close to home.
