PETER SVENZON - Composer, choreographer and AD of AOS. Peter has also created dance works for institutions all over Europe. His work has been shown by Göteborgs Operans Danskompani, Ballet Chemnitz, Ballet Greifswald, Norrdans (2018) and Dansens Hus in Stockholm, among others. He also works as a movement director for theatre, working alongside such directors as Lars Norén, Vibeke Bjel- ke, Niklas Hjulström and others. As a composer Peter also creates music for AOS as well as for theatre productions, artists and for film.
Peter started off as a break-dancer and then got his pro- fessional dance training at Ballet academy in Gothenburg, Sweden 1984 to -87. He started to work as a dancer already 1986 in the dance company Dance theatre Thalia. After his education, he worked internationally as a dancer/choreogra- pher in among other country’s; Italy, Germany, Denmark and Norway. For five years, Peter was also actively working in an internationally reputable illusionist duo together with actor Magnus Krepper - Good Looking Brothers. After many years as a dancer Peter had also begun choreographed more and more and 1998 he returned to Gothenburg to start his own dance company. It was the start of Art of Spectra and since the start 1998, Peter has created over 40 works for the com- pany. Art of Spectra with Peter Svenzon have had regularly support and funding since -99, by Swedish Arts Council, Cultural Department of Stockholm and Swedish Arts Grants Committee. Peter was rewarded in 2013 with a 10-year grant from Swedish art grants committee. In his work, Peter explores and constantly cross borders between different art forms such as; Dance, theatre, music, video, picture art etc. His background as a break-dancer prior to his professional dance education is very evident in his work. His chorograph- ical stile is like a hybrid between classical, break and modern dance. Has always worked in parallel as a music composer and has created music for all works of Art of spectra and also for other theatre and dance works. In the late -90´s and early -00 he played a significant role in Gothenburg's Hip Hop scene

RUM 444
I am Peter Svenzon, a Swedish choreographer, composer and director. I rum the dance/art company Art of Spectra since over 25 years.
I made this short dance/ art film as a research in how to choreograph for the camera so that you can feel, experience the dance performance as you do when you see it live. As a short performance but created to be seen and experienced through video/film. I wanted to do this for a very long time, so the pandemic became a perfect time to actually do it. This is the very first film we produce.
We have just released this film and started approaching festivals with it.
All the best Peter Svenzon
