I am a female director looking to establish myself in industry. I have recently taken a great interested in making horror films and films with themes of horror intertwined. I have been an avid horror/ thriller consumer as long I can remember. I do make other films that explore themes of drama and romance. I also use animation in my work as I find it therapeutic and limitless.
'Live For Me' is about letting go of material objects and money. Our society today is riddled with problems, money being the biggest distractions for the majority of us, especially with 'the cost of living crisis'. A lot of us are like Tim, we are losing touch with the important people in our lives and becoming consumed financial issues, media and management. You never know when life will be taken away from you, or what will happen in the future, every day is precious. I hope that 'Live For Me' reminds people that with the financial burdens and new wave of pressures we face today, we only have one life, so we may as well enjoy it and recognise in a world of fast pace consumption, we cannot simply buy another chance at life.
'Live For Me' was made with a talented cast and crew of only four people, we all pulled in our experience, knowledge and connections to secure kit, locations and a weekend to shoot. We made our film with a budget of £0, but I am personally so proud of what we have achieved.
