David Kloehr is an aspiring producer and director from Tulsa, Oklahoma, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master of Fine Arts in Film Production at Full Sail University. He began his film journey as an LA-based actor from 2014 to 2019. As an actor, he’s worked on several productions, notably The Middle, Scandal Made Me Famous, and Woodlawn. After his tenure in Los Angeles, he set his sights on producing and directing. Since then, he’s worked on several Oklahoma-based productions, including Hulu’s Reservation Dogs, Lionsgate’s American Underdog, and the upcoming Reagan film. More recently, he’s operated as an extra’s coordinator and financial analyst through an internship with Kingdom Story Company. Long term, he aims to own and operate his own production company in the future.
This film pays homage to Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space, by revisiting the idea that earth's population would eventually destroy themselves through the influence of their own 'stupid minds'. Only this time their influence is a social media app called Toc Tic, and instead of zombies we now have dancing sharks.
