Director Biography - Vas Batricevic, Rick Peters

Vasilije Batricevic is an actor and director born and raised in Podgorica, Montenegro to Yugoslav parents. Vas moved to the U.S. when he was a teenager as an exchange student in high school. His love for performing finally erupted pretty much by accident while attending Navarro College in Texas where he performed on stage and attained his A.S. Degree before moving to Los Angeles to attend the prestigious Stella Adler Academy where he earned a full-time scholarship. After 3 years of studying, he graduated the program in May, 2021.

The latest short film he was in, What a Sunny Day, gained international success winning "Best Director Student Short" award at Los Angeles Independent Film Festival while it was also officially selected at ARFF in Berlin, Germany, LAFilmFest in Los Angeles, CA and London International Motion Pictures Awards in London, UK.

Rick Peters is an American actor born in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. After living in England and Australia as a child, he returned back to the US and began his acting career in high school plays. He studied the craft of acting with legendary teachers - Stella Adler and Joanne Linville. He has since appeared in several films and numerous television shows, and is perhaps best known for his roles as Australian Bobby Manning in Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye. He also plays the role of Elliot in critically acclaimed American drama series Dexter.

He resides in southern California with his two children and is also teaching Play-Production and On-Camera classes at the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting & Theatre in Los Angeles.

Director Statement

This short film was created by actors in isolation as an attempt to expose the reality of abuse and domestic violence, unfortunately experienced by many, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is an online experimental project made with lap-top cameras and no budget. Actors were the crew.
